The Little Story Behind the Name Rosewood Notes
I bet you’ve wondered about the story behind the blog name and its meaning. Here is how The Rosewood Notes came to be.

I was brainstorming names for the blog, and it crossed my mind to use the “Life by [name]” formula, but it felt overused for a lifestyle blog and not very interesting or memorable. I landed on the word “note,” but I wanted something before it to make it more interesting. I randomly came across the word “rosewood.” I had no idea what it was, but I liked the word “rose,” and I thought the whole thing sounded elegant.
So, I went to Canva, put together a logo, and liked it. The logo was cute and feminine enough, not too modern, but still simple, so I picked it. Eventually, I Googled the word rosewood and discovered that “rosewood note” is actually a scent of the wood, and rosewood is the color of a real wood used to make furniture and instruments. However, I didn’t want to change the name and go through the naming process again.
Also, as a blog, I wanted a memorable name, even though the content doesn’t directly relate to it. It’s a leap, but I know other well-known blogs with memorable names that have little to do with their topics and are just fun to remember. For example, I know a French blog named The Pink Lemon (le citron rose), but it’s not about food; it’s about digital marketing. So I figured the blog name was good enough and would work well.
I also found a rosewood color palette, and I decided to go with a deep, reddish shade.
The blog was born from the combination of rosewood as a color and notes (each post is a note); therefore, rosewood notes: a collection of rosewood-colored written messages and brief records of topics and thoughts. Anyway, it took me a while to warm up to the name, but now I like it.
So there you have it. This is the story behind it. Have you ever wondered how your favorite blogs got their names? Tell me in the comments!
til next time !
